Self-guided visit to Tektronix RAMS and the vintageTEK museum
Self-guided visit to Tektronix RAMS and the vintageTEK museum. Check out some of Portland’s tech history and see some cool machines.
The Tektronix campus has an electronics surplus outlet store called RAMS. Tektronix RAMS will be open from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday.
Just around the corner from RAMS is the vintageTEK museum. The volunteers at vintageTEK museum are opening their doors specially for Teardown attendees. The vintageTEK museum will be open from 2pm to 5pm on Thursday.
To get there, take the MAX light rail blue line towards Hillsborough from the stop on Holladay St just south of the Lloyd Center. Take the MAX to Millikan Way (35 mins) and it’s less than a ten minute walk to either the musuem or the surplus store. You can also drive, which takes 25 mins to 45 mins depending on traffic.
Join the Teardown 2025 Signal group to co-ordinate car rides or transit parties, or find folks heading that way at pre-registration.
